The K12 Micra is definitely my favourite small automatic, they are super reliable and just drive so well (the later K13 Micra went to a 3 cylinder engine and a chocolate strength CVT gearbox which is famously troublesome). Powered by an unburstable chain driven engine which puts its power down through a smooth shifting, ‘fully automatic’ torque converter gearbox. This car averaged 50mpg on the motorway when I drove it back from Birmingham. They also have an elevated driving position which makes getting in/out easier plus sliding/folding rear seats for added practicality.
